Alicia admits that her style became more girlielike, she likes wearing dresses and having her hair straight or wavy instead of braided. Grammy 2002
This was her first Grammy Awards apperance and she looked fantastic. Her ver much different than everyone else's outfit caught people's eye. Alicia wore an amazing emerald green tunic over navy blue trousers, both sequin embroided .There was delicate headgear covering her braids. The gown was designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior. High "barely there" sandals adorned her feet. She also had silver sequins on her eyelids.

Grammy 2003
On her second apperance at Grammy in February 2003 she showed off her midriff in an animal print shirt and off-white jacket adorned with some sort of buttons. Green satin combat trousers that went down to her ankle and her favourite high heels. One mustn't forget to mention a hat worn for the first and last time at grammies. She also had a writing on her lower back saying: Think for urself. Golden bracelet on her wrist complemented golden eyeshadow.
Grammy 2004
Alicia Keys stepped out in a gorgeous peaches & cream Roberto Cavalli gown worn over – gasp! – silk jean-style capris. Sticking close to her style, Alicia sported beautiful sparkling loop earings. Beloved braids were nowhere to be seen, instead she had an elegant 20s style hairdo. Her wonderful studded high sandals graced her feet. For her fabolous performance she wore a similar Cavalli gown worn over blue jeans with a wide jean blue band on her forearm.
Grammy 2005
In 2005 Alicia wore one of the most glamorous outfits on the green carpet at Grammy Awards. Keys wore a full-length Roberto Cavalli white satin gown with thick gold straps and a bare back. The dress, paired with simple dangling earrings and sparkling gold eye makeup, made for a sophisticated look that was sexy in its demureness. Let's not forget to mention her white knee-high heeled boots. Let loose , wavy hair complemented the look.
Grammy 2006
That was one of the most beautiful dresses at the Grammy Awards this year. Miss Keys chose an Armani Prive black beaded gown with a plunging V-neck and a dramatic low back. It also had a front slit. The dress features a neckline of lace embroidered with Swarovski crystal jet black beading. "Giorgio Armani made it especially for me. I feel like a winner" Alicia said. She had simple hair-do with a lot of forelock on her forehead. Make up was very light, only with visible black lines and lots of mascara.

Grammy 2008
Alicia wore a dark navy blue gown by Giorgio Armani Prive that recalled old Hollywood with its high halter neck and full train. Her hair was done in a tight updo with curls piled on top of her head and bright hot pink lips, which matched her hot pink crocodile clutch bag. Later on she switched from a navy dress to a bright green gown. On the red carpet she opted for a more old-Hollywood look, then on stage she managed to be both sexy and funky.
